Elderly American man dies in a guesthouse from an heart attack.

An elderly American man was found dead at 0.30AM past midnight on January 25 2016 in the guesthouse Loon Star Loun (ឡូ​ន ស្តា​រលូន) located Number 30, Street 23, Phum 8, Sangkat Chey Chumneas (ជ័យ​ជំ​នេះ​), Khan Daun Penh (ដូនពេញ).

Authorities identified him as Cedward Breueallan, male, 73 years old, tourist, passport number XXXXXXXXXX, staying in the guesthouse where he was found dead.

His wife was identified as Limin, 42 years old. She told the authorities that they were married in 2005 in China. After they were married her husband had already physical problems (hearth disease) for which he was taking medicines.

She added that she always came as a tourist to Cambodia and on December 12 2015 she and her husband visited the country once more. They stayed in the guesthouse (where the incident happened) from their arrival (in the country) till the moment of the incident.
Suddenly her husband told her that he didn’t feel well. He suffered heartburn and pain under his bellybutton. The wife left to buy medicines for her husband but (after taking the medicines) the condition of the victim didn’t improve so she also called some friends of her husband but they were not reachable (?) (លើ)
Than she informed the owner of the guesthouse to come help with with CPR and call an ambulance from Calmette Hospital to bring him to the hospital but when the doctor arrived he told (her) that the victim already died.

A biopsy (executed by the Municipal Court of Phnom Penh) showed that the victim died of an heart attack.
Currently the body is at Stung Meanchey pagoda.

Phnom Penh: Norwegian KLOMSTEN MORTEN EINAR found dead in GH.

A foreigner was found dead in the rental house Nr.184, Street 357, Phum Daum Sleeng (ដើម​ស្លែង), Sangkat Chbar Ampov 2 (ច្បារអំពៅ​២), Khan Chbar Ampov (ច្បារអំពៅ​). The victim was identified as Klomsten Morten Einar, male, 43 years old, Norwegian national, living in Velkommen Guesthouse located in Sangkat Psar kandal1, Khan Daun Penh, tourist.

Before the incident the victim met Sok Sreypov (សុខ ស្រី​ពៅ), female, 24 years old, Vietnamese national, working at home, living in a rental room above the place of the incident for 3 years.
On January 12 2016 the victim called Sok Sreypov for a meeting and on January 13 2016 around 5PM they met in a restaurant located at Psar Kandal till around 8PM. Afterwards they went to the place of the incident. The victim took (opened?) a bottle of Johnnie Walker BLACK LABEL 1L which they drank together. Sok Ampov went buying a case of Angkor beer which they drank together (6 people) including the (I assume her) older stepbrother. The victim drank half of the bottle until around midnight when he told the others that he felt tired. At 1AM on January 14 2016 they saw the victim snoring too loud and they put him in a room.

In the morning Sok Sreypov went visit her child in Takmao together with her older brother. When she returned at 5PM to the rental house she saw that the victim had foam around his mouth. She reported this to the police who concluded that the victim already died.
According to the coroner the victim died because of an heart attack. Currently the body is kept at Stung Meanchey Pagoda awaiting the family to organize a ceremony.

Stole a mobile phone from a foreigner, police caught one suspect and another escaped.

A suspect, belonging to a duo, was arrested by the Military Police of Daun Penh after he stole a mobile phone from a foreigner and tried to escape. Another suspect managed to escape. The incident happened at 9.30PM on January 12 2016 in Street 67 located in Sangkat Psar Thmey 2, Khan Daun Penh.

The Military Police of Daun Penh says the suspect was identified as Thaa Phoktey (ថា ភក្តី), male, 21 years old, living in House Nr.111, Street 154, Phum8, Sangkat Psar Thmey 2, Khan Daun Penh. The arrested suspect was driving the motorbike.
A black Honda C125, license plate Phnom Penh 1FL- 4323, and 2 mobile phones (an LG and an HTC) were confiscated.
The victim was identified as Vincenzo Torrente, a 39 years old Italian tourist staying in Aura Hotel, Street 19, Sangkat Chy Chomneah, Khan Daun Penh.

Before the incident the victim was looking at his phone on the corner of Street 172 with Street 19. Suddenly the 2 suspects, driving their motorbike, showed up, approached the victim and robbed his white Samsung mobile phone.
After that the suspects fled along Street 19 northbound. The victim called for help and immediately the police, who was patrolling in the neighborhood, chased the suspects until they reached Street 67 (outside GSM) where they arrested the driver of the motorbike. The other suspect, the one with the mobile phone of the victim, escaped. He’s identified as Ra (រ៉ា) and living in Street 81, Psar Thmey 2(behind GSM).

The suspects will be sent to the court.

Stole a mobile phone and escaped but immediately caught by PM.

2 robbers were arrested by the Military Police from Daun Penh on January 12 2016 at 2PM in Street 63, on the corner with Street 136, Sangkat Psar Thmey 1, Khan Daun Penh.

According to the police they arrested 2 suspects in a case of a robbery of a mobile phone from a foreigner.
The suspects are a 22 years old without a clear job (the robber) and a 24 years old without a clear job (the driver of the motorbike).
A black Honda Dream motorbike C125 and a black Iphone6 (the phone of the victim) were confiscated upon their arrest.

The victim of the robbery was identified as the 21 years old Australian national ALICE UNWIN AUSTIN.
According to the police, before the incident the victim was looking on her phone on the corner of Street 154 with Street 63.
Suddenly the 2 suspects, driving a black motorbike, approached the victim and took her Iphone6. After that the 2 suspects tried to escape on their motorbike along Street 19 from the North to the South. The victim screamed for help. Immediately the police who was patrolling intervened and followed the suspects till the corner of Street 136 with Street 63.
The suspects dumped their motorbike and tried to escape by entering Psar Thmey. One suspect threw the phone in a shop. The 2 suspects were arrested and transported to the police office.

The mobile phone was overhanded to the victim. The suspect will be sent to court.

Belgian national dies of an heart attack in Cyclo (​​ស៊ីក្លូ) Guesthouse.

A Belgian national got a heart attack in Cyclo Guesthouse and was sent to a private hospital by a tuk-tuk. He wasn’t accepted and was sent to Calmette Hospital but he died on his way to Calmette.

The incident happened at 3.30PM on January 10 2016 in the Cyclo Guesthouse, located in Nr.50, corner of Street 172 and Street 23, Phum 8, Sankat Chy Chomneah, Khan Daun Penh.

The victim was identified as Peleriaux Christophe Roberth, male, 39 years old, tourist, passport number ​EJXXXXXX, staying in room Nr.9 on the 2nd floor in the Cyclo Guesthouse.

According to Gregory large, a 29 years old French national and son of the owner of the guesthouse, before the incident at 3.30PM he went to room Nr.2 on the first floor and saw the body of his friend sitting/lying. Saliva was running from his mouth. The victim didn’t recover and groaned. Another friend was called to come help lift the victim. The victim threw up blood and strengthened his chest, he had a running nose and mouth. An ambulance was called but no-one showed up so the victim was carried into a tuk-tuk and sent to the Naga private hospital but the doctor sent them to Calmette Hospital. When they arrived in the hospital 2 persons returned to take the passport of the victim from the guesthouse. When they returned to the hospital the doctor told them that the victim already died and the authorities were informed.

A coroner of the Municipal Court of Phnom Penh said that the victim died of an heart attack. The body is kept at Calmette Hospital.

Unconscious foreigner found along the street

At 5.40AM on January 11 2016 a foreigner was found unconscious along Street 154 at the corner with Norodom Blvd in front of a shop selling glasses.

According to witnesses the foreigner is around 35 years old, it’s not clear where he comes from. He was already found a first time in the night of January 9 2016 but when the police went there he left. The second time, early morning on January 11 2016, he was spotted one more time unconscious/drugged. Although the authorities tried to wake him up, the didn’t manage.

The police called an ambulance and the foreigner was sent to Calmette Hospital for treatment.

Phnom Penh: Foreigner victim of a robbery along Norodom Blvd.

Foreigner is the victim of a robbery (motorbike and money)

Phnom Penh:
A foreigner was found unconscious and alone in the street. He was suffering a head injury. Probably he was robbed from his motorbike and money. The incident happend at 3.30AM on January 9 2016 along Norodom Boulevard in front of the Lycee Sisowath located in Khan Daun Penh.

Witnesses saw the victim, around 30 years old, lying in the street with a head injury. They don’t know if a fight happened or that he fell on his own so they called an ambulance to bring him to the hospital but the victim refused treatment.

Then, a female employee of a shop, who passed the place of the incident, said that the victim is a customer at her shop and also before the incident the victim visited her shop but she didn’t know what happened.

According to witnesses the victim was driving a yellow Honda Click without license plates when he left the shop. After the incident they didn’t see the motorbike and also his wallet and mobile phone were missing. They suspect a robbery.

The employee of the shop asked a tuk-tuk to transfer the victim to a private clinic for treatment. There were no complaints filed or report made by the authorities.
