An Australian man was spotted dead in his house; heart attack suspected.

Sihanoukville

On June 28 2016 at 9PM an Australian man was found dead in his house which is located in Sihanoukville’s sangkat 4. After an examination the police noticed that the victim possibly died of a heart attack.

The victim was identified as FARQUHARSON RORY ANGUS, male, married with Kumsan Srey Mal (គឹមសាន ស្រីមល) who was born in 1981 and working as a housewife.

The body was kept at the house (of the incident) awaiting a decision from the embassy and the victim’s family.

DOB 11/04/1947, Dundee, Australia.

A Canadian national died at Home Town Hotel.

Phnom Penh

On June 26 2016 at 6.20AM at Home Town Suite Hotel located at number 35, Street 172, Group 19, Village 5, sangkat Chey Chomneah, khan Daun Penh, a foreigner died in room number 208 on the 2nd floor.
The victim was identified as BAINS VINNY, male, 43YO, tourist, Canadian national.
He checked-in on June 25 2016. He died of a heart attack.
His body was deposited a the Khmer-Sovjet Hospital.

Sihanoukville: 61YO British William Richard Stiven found dead at Swiss Garden Guesthouse.

Dead foreigner found in the rental room of a guesthouse; cause of death unknown.

Sihanoukville

On June 26 2016 around 7PM the emaciated corps of a foreign man was found, cause of death unknown, by the manager of a guesthouse located in Group 17, Village 4, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville city.
It was discovered on the floor of room number 5 close to the bed.

The police identified the victim as 61YO WILLIAM RICHARD STIVEN (born on 20/03/1955), British citizen. He checked in at SWISS GARDEN on June 29 2016.

According to the forensic experts from the police and a group of doctors:
The victim died of a heart attack. After the examinations the body was taken to and deposited at the Provincial Referral Hospital awaiting a handing over to the embassy and relatives to bring it back to the victim’s home country.

A foreigner died around 10.30AM on June 25 2016 in the 3rd floor room of the rental house of (belonging to?) Thach Samnang (located in) Group 26, Village 3, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville City/Province.
The body was moved from the place of the incident and put near the stairs on the ground floor.

The victim was identified as ROTHERAM KEVIN ERIC, born in 1959, citizen of New Zealand.

At the moment the cause of death is still unknown.

Phnom Penh: 26YO British tourist Tilley Ira Ewan dies at Mad Monkey Hostel.

A British man died in bed number 5 in the Mad Monkey guesthouse. The cause of death is unknown.
The local police conducted an investigation on June 21 2016 at 1.30PM in the rented house number 26, Street 302, Village 6, sangkat Boeung Keng Kong 1, khan Chamkar Mon, Phnom Penh.

The victim was identified as Tilley Ira Ewan (ធីលលីអ៊ីរ៉ា អ៊ីវ៉ាន), male, 26YO, British citizen, tourist.

According to the landlord:
Before the incident his rental house rented bed number 5 to a foreigner. At the time of the incident the victim was sleeping for too long without seeing him leaving the room.
The owner of the guesthouse went to wake him up but the didn’t respond so he realized that the victim died. Immediately the owner of the guesthouse contacted the local authorities to investigate the case. The police conducted a biopsy.

After performing a biopsy, which took more than 3 hours, journalists went to ask feedback. They were told by the officials that they suspected that the victim died of a heart attack.

Currently the body is deposited at the Russian Hospital.

Siem Reap: 63YO Malaysian SIVANANDAM KUPPUSAMY dies at Claremont Hotel of hypertension.

A Malaysian man died of hypertension.

Siem Reap

On June 15 2016 at 6AM a foreigner died in his room at Claremont hotel which is located in Siem Reap city.

According to the Provincial Police the victim was identified as SIVANANDAM KUPPOSANY (must be SIVANANDAM KUPPUSAMY), male, 64YO, Malaysian national, tourist. He died in room 202 on the first floor of Claremont Hotel located in Siem Reap city.

After his death the police performed an autopsy (scan of the head); they found a broken blood vessel and a blood cloth in the brain of the victim. They concluded that the victim died of hypertension. Furthermore the victim also used medicines against hypertension on a daily base.

Currently the victim is being kept at the Royal Angkor International Hospital awaiting his family to organize the repatriation of his body.

Phnom Penh: 47YO Vietnamese Sokh Ran dies at her house of a heart attack.

A Vietnamese woman suffering from hypertension and heart (problems) for more than 1 year already was found lying dead on a mattress in her house. They claim that she died of a heart attack.
Tje incident happend on June 13 2016 at 9.40AM at house numberXX, Street 464k, Andong 5 village, sankat Kook Roka, khan Prek Pnov.

The victim was identified as Sokh Ran (សុខ វ៉ាន់), female, 47YO, Vietnamese national, pharmacist, living in the house where the incident happend. She divorced from her husband more than 1 year ago and was living alone. She had no children.

Sources present at the scene said that in the morning before the incident she planned to go to the pagoda together with some neighbors but when the neighbors arrived at the pagoda they didn’t see the victim. The called the victim but nobody picked up the phone.
Afterwards, (other?) neighbors heard the sound of a telephone and took a look. They found her dead lying on a mattress.
They informed and asked the local police to conduct an investigation. It was concluded that the victim died of a heart attack.

The body of the victim was handed over to the family in order to organize a funeral ceremony.

Australian woman dies in a room of Casa Angkor Hotel because of a broken blood vessel in her stomach.

Siem Reap

On June 11 2016 around 4AM an Australian woman died in a hotel room in Siem Reap.
A tour company and the Australian embassy decided to keep her body at the Royal Angkor International Hospital awaiting a handing over to the family (of the victim).

According to the police who visited the place of the incident:
The Australian woman who died at Casa Angkor Hotel, 3rd floor, room number 328, Mondul1 village, sangkat Svay Dangkun, Siem Reap, was identified as SPRY SUSAN CLARA, 64YO (DOB 24/10/1952), Australian national, tourist, entered the country via Bavet. (Vietnam-Cambodia)

The police said that the victim had a history of physical illness (diabetes and hypertension).

According to the doctors the victim died of a broken blood vessel in her stomach because she had bruises on her body and blood was coming from her nose and mouth.

Phnom Penh: 28YO US MORGAN SAMUEL ARNOLD found dead in his bathroom.

According to the report:
The victim was identified as MORGAN SAMUEL ARNOLD, male, 29YO, US national.
He fatally fell in his bathroom without knowing the exact cause yet but it is suspected that he died of a heart disease (heart attack).
The local police conducted on investigation on June 10 2016 at 2.30PM at rental house number XXX, Street 144, Group 23, Village 3, sangkat Phsar Daum Thkov, khan Chomkarmon, Phnom Penh.
The local authorities said that the owner of the house reported that a foreigner fatally fell in the bathroom so they informed the police to investigate and find the cause of death. When arriving (at the scene) they found a foreign man lying dead in the badroom and let forensic experts perform an examination.

Phnom Penh: 55YO Taiwanese Chheng Ching Kun dies of hypertension and diabetes.

On June 2 2016 at 1.20PM an elderly man was found lying dead at house number XX, Street 11, Trapeang Thlung village, sangkat Chaom Khov, khan Por Sen Chey. He died of hypertension and diabetes.
The victim was identified as Chheng Ching Koun (ឆឹង ជីងគួន), male, 55YO, Chinese-Taiwanese national, married with a 42YO Khmer woman, trader and living at the place of the incident. He had 3 children. (ក្នុងបន្ទុកគ្រួសារ)
His wife said that she married with the victim more than 20 years ago. It was only since the last months that the victim was seriously suffering from hypertension and diabetes.
Before his death the victim had lunch; afterwards he had respiratory problems leading to his death.
The police was informed to conduct an examination and issue a death certificate.
