Korean national arrested in Siem Reap province for illegally staying.

A South-Korean man was arrested by the Provincial Immigration Police in collaboration with local authorities to enforce/implement the law after the foreigner was illegally living in Siem Reap.

The Provincial Immigration police identified the foreigner as KIM YOUNG HUN, male, born in 1961, passport MXXXXXXXX, staying at the hotel New Riverside (​ញូ​វី​រើ​សាយ), located in Ta Vian village, Sala Komreuk commune, Siem Reap city/province. He was arrested on February 12 2016 at 4.30PM and transferred to theImmigration Office for questioning.

He entered the Kingdom in 2010 through Phnom Penh International Airport in order to work as a manager at the construction company ENPRAT for about 2 years. After that he came live in Siem Reap for 4 years in order to work as a manager at the same company. In January 2015 he lost his passport. He didn’t inform his embassy and continued living in the Cambodia illegally.

He was sent to the Immigration Department to apply the law.

Kampot: Police arrests Indian AMIT GANDHI in deadly traffic accident.

The police of Chhouk district decided to temporary detain the Indian man who collided with a motorbike resulting in one dead person and one seriously injured person. The accident happened around 1PM on February 15 2016 on National Road 3 (Kampot-Phnom Penh) in village Damnak Troap South (ដំណាក់ទ្រព្យខាងត្បូង), district Krang Snay (ក្រាំងស្នាយ), district Chhouk (ឈូក), Kampot province.

According to the district police:
The driver of the car was identified as Amit Gandhi (អាមី ហ្គន់ឌី), 41YO, employee at VE Cambodia Ltd. He was driving a white HADAY (must be Hyundai), license plate Phnom Penh 2Z-1127.
The driver of the motorbike was identified as Soun Ney (ស៊ុន ណី), female, 46YO. She died on the scene of the accident. She was living in village Damnak Troap South (ដំណាក់ទ្រព្យខាងត្បូង), district Krang Snay (ក្រាំងស្នាយ), district Chhouk (ឈូក), Kampot province.
The passenger on the motorbike was identified as Sor Roun (ស រុន), male, 58YO, living in Tviar (ទ្វារ) village, Chres commune (ជ្រេស), Choumkiri district (ជុំគីរី), Kampot province. He was seriously injured. The victims were driving a black Honda Dream C125 2007.

According to the police:
The car was driving from the west to the east. The car collided with the motorbike of the victims from behind while driving in the same direction. The passenger was immediately transferred to the District Referral Hospital for emergency treatment.

Currently the car as well as the motorbike are kept at the district police station for legal action.

Siem Reap: Australian thief ADILRASHID JABER caught by police.

The suspect is ADILRASHID JABER, a 37YO man from Australia. He entered the country through Phnom Penh international airport coming from Bangkok. After that he travelled to Preah Sihanouk. There he already stole from the Belgian victim. Afterwards the victims returned to Siem Reap to live together again in the guesthouse mentioned before but each in a seperate room.

Siem Reap: Bulgarian Tsvetozar Nikolaev Stoyanov arrested for ATM skimming.

One more foreigner uses tools to steal pin-codes from ABA bank customers.

Siem Reap:
On February 13 2016 around 9PM the police received information from ABA bank that a suspect, who is a foreigner, planned to steal ATM pin-codes.
After receiving this information the provincial police forces collaborated immediately by setting up an observation team which spotted the suspect. The suspect is a foreigner identified as Thwikosa Nikoliav (ធ្វីកូស្សានីកូលៀវ), 28YO, male, Bulgarian.
He entered the ATM and after that he immediately left. Later the police discovered that the foreigner tried to hide evidence in the toilet of a nearby restaurant. The police arrested him for questioning at 11.30PM. They have evidence, a camera/sensor to capture the pin-codes from customers.

Siem Reap: Pakistani GHAFOOR ABDUL arrested for expired visa.

A Pakistani man was arrested and sent to the General Department of Immigration.

Siem Reap
Immigration Police belonging to the Provincial Police in collaboration with local police forces from Sangkat Svay Dangkum checked/monitored on the presence of foreigners illegally living in the country. One Pakistani was arrested for illegally living in the country (expired visa). He was sent to the office of the Immigration Police for questioning and afterwards forwarded to the General Department of Immigration to extradite him.

The arrest took place at 9.30 on February 10 2016 in a rental house in Phum Vihear Chen ( ​វិហារ​ចិន), Sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city.

The illegal Pakistani man was identified as GHAFOOR ABDUL, male, 43 years old, passport number XXXXXXX, arrived in Cambodia in 2012 through Phnom Penh International Airport. After that he lived illegally in Siem Reap working as a chief in Taj Mahal (ថា​ច់ ម៉ា​ហាល) restaurant, which is located in Phum Svay Dangkum, Sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap.
After his arrest he was brought to the office of the Immigration Police and told that he really stayed/worked in Siem Reap without work permit and that his visa expired since December 2 2015. He didn’t extend his visa yet because he didn’t have enough money to pay for a visa. He said that he was aware that he was overstaying in the Kingdom.

On February 12 he was sent to the General Department of Immigration for extradition.

Sihanoukville: American Ronald Lueddere and Russian Fomin Sergei arrested by the Immigration police.

In the evening of February 12 2016 at 5.20PM the Immigration Police and Tourist Police belonging to the Provincial Police of Sihanoukville arrested 2 foreigners at Ochheuteal beach located in Group 17, Phum 4, Sangkat Nunber 4, Sihanoukville.
1. Fomin Sergei, male, Russian, born on 03/09/1958, passport number XX XXXXXXX which expires on 01/02/2021 (overstaying on a visa which expired on 06/07/2015)
2. Ronald Lueddere, male, American, born on 05/05/1979 (living here without passport and creating violence and troubles at some restaurants and guesthouses along Ochheuteal beach)

Sihanoukville: American Lewis James Edward missing. FOUND!

Preah Sihanouk Province
As of 8.30PM on February 11 2016 they still didn’t find the American tourist Lewis James Edward, male, 78 years old, who disappeared/wasn’t seen again onboard of the vessel after he arrived with 1340 other tourists on board of the Volendam which moored at Kampong Phae, Sihanoukville this morning. All police forces are looking for him.
