The police sends 2 foreigners to the court in a case of theft with violence.
Kampot
This happened in the morning of January 2016. The 2 suspects are:
1. Deet Khem Rindi (ដេត ខេមរិនឌី), also called Chok, 33 years old, occupation not clear, living in Phum Twi Khaang Cheung (ទ្វីខាងជើង), Sangkat Ondoong Khmer (អណ្តូងខ្មែរ), Kampot District/Province.
2. Hiang Chaiya (ហ៊ាង ឆៃយ៉ា), 19 years old, living in Phum Twi Khaang Cheung (ទ្វីខាងជើង), Sangkat Ondoong Khmer (អណ្តូងខ្មែរ), Kampot District/Province.
The victim was identified as Johnny Marcel Soluas (ចូ អានីម៉ាស់ សិលសលួស), male, 65 years old and living in a rental house in Phum Twi Khaang Cheung (ទ្វីខាងជើង), Sangkat Ondoong Khmer (អណ្តូងខ្មែរ), Kampot District/Province.
According to the authorities at 0.15AM on January 11 2016 the first suspect covered the light at the gate with his T-shirt. He cut the fences with his pliers and walked to the house. He entered the house, took a stick and attacked the victim, who was looking television alone, from behind which resulted in serious head injuries. The victim screamed and fled to the kitchen at the backside (of the house). At that moment the suspect thought that the suspect wanted to take a knife so he also fled without stealing anything.
At 7.40AM on January 11 2016 the municipal police arrested the suspect at his house. They questioned him and around 1.30PM the same day they summoned another suspect for questioning and also arrested him.
Both suspects were referred to the court.
