According to the provincial immigration police:

On November 29 2016 at 7.40AM a foreigner identified as 74YO Swiss Bruderer Peter Michael, living in a rental villa in Veal village, sangkat Kok Chak, Siem Reap city/province, died of a disease/virus.

The victim’s 36YO Khmer wife, identified as Aek Bun Chivi, prepared/organized a funeral ceremony following the traditions.

Siem Reap: 34YO American tourist PHILLIP HOUSTON ROLEN dies after collapsing.

An American national collapsed, broke his ‘head’ and died on the spot.

On October 30 2016 at 6.20AM a hotel security guard spotted a foreigner lying dead at the east corner of the hotel “Terrace des Elephants”.
The incident happend in Mondul 1 village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city/province.

The provincial immigration police identified the victim as 34YO American tourist PHILLIP HOUSTON ROLEN. The victim arrived in Siem Reap (province) on October 29 2016 and stayed in room No.40 of the hotel where the incident happened, together with his wife.

The victim’s wife told the police that the victim started drinking in the evening till dawn at Pub Street. Then (he/they) returned back to the hotel.

The Technical-Scientific Police and a coroner examined the victim’s corpse and concluded that the victim drank too much alcohol which possibly caused a heart failure. He collapsed on the floor and broke his ‘head’ which caused a fatal cerebral hemorrhage.

The victim’s corpse has been deposited at the Royal Angkor International Hospital awaiting further instructions from the embassy.

Siem Reap: 59YO Filipino Alexander Manansala died on his way to the hospital.

In the morning of October 9 2016 a Filipino man, suffering from diabetes, died on his way to the Royal Angkor International Hospital which is located in Kasikam village, sangkat Srangae, Siem Reap city/province.

According to the police:
The Immigration department, the Technical and Scientific department and a coroner linked to the Provincial Court examined the victim’s corpse and concluded that the victim died of a cerebral hemorrhage and that the victim also suffered diabetes.

The Immigration Police identified the victim as 54YO (should be 59YO) Manansala Alexaber Elim, Filipino, working at a call center in Borey Prem Prey, living in Kruos village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city/province, and married with Mariefarnanbo, an English language teacher.

According to the victim’s wife:
At 7Am in the morning her husband, suffering from diabetes, was in a serious condition and transported to the Provincial Referral Hospital and afterwards transported to the Royal Angkor International Hospital but he died before arrival.

Currently the victim’s corpse is laid out at the Royal Angkor International Hospital awaiting documents from the embassy and a decision.

According to the police:
A foreigner died in a rental room; a bad smell alarmed the landlord/landlady.
The incident happend on September 12 2016 at 1PM at Ta Phul village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city.
After a physical examination of the victim’s corpse the police didn’t find any traces of murder/homicide.
They concluded that the victim maybe left the bathroom, felt dizzy and fell down.(exhaustion) There were no witnesses.
The victim maybe died 3 to 4 days ago because the corpse was already swollen up and smelling bad.
The immigration police identified the victim as HUXLEY KENNETH ROBERT, male, 58YO, Canadian national, jobless.
The police and a doctor decided to take and lay out the victim’s corpse at the Provincial Referral Hospital awaiting a decision from the embassy.

Siem Reap: 36YO Chinese Tan Shuilong dies at Royal Empire Hotel.

On September 2 at 9.30PM at Royal Empire Hotel which is located along NR6, Krous village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city/province a foreign national fell face down in the swimming pool and died.

According to the Immigration Police:
The victim was identified as TAN SHUILONG, male, 36YO, Chinese national, visa No EF00431218, entered Cambodia through PPIA on August 31 2016 and arrived in Siem Reap on September 2 2016 via a tour company.
He stayed in Royal Empire Hotel room NoXXX and went for a swim. He sat on the border of the swimming pool and fell face down into the water.
They pulled the victim out of the water and called an ambulance but the victim died already.
According to Techical-Scietific Police, a coroner and doctors from the Royal (Angkor International Hospital) the victim died of an increased blood pressure which caused a broken blood vessel in the brain; a scan showed a blood clot in the brain of the victim.
The corpse has been laid out in the Royal Angkor International Hospital awaiting the handing over to the embassy.

Siem Reap: 33YO South Korean Luh Chih Chieh found dead in his rental room; overdose suspected.

Bad smell leaves the house; reported to the police.

A Taiwanese man died in a rental room which led to a bad smell. This was reported to the police. They examined the place of the incident, located in Krous village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city/province, in the afternoon of August 31 2016.
The victim was identified as 33YO Taiwanese man LU CHIH CHIEF (Must be Luh Chih Chieh) living at the scene of the incident.

A resident reported to the police that a man died and a bad small was leaving from a room close to the reporter’s room. The police intervened and noticed a dead foreigner in rental room C34 in Borey Ak Khaet.

According to an examination and according to the first conclusions the victim maybe used too much drugs or maybe fainted because on the incident scene 2 bags with white powder were found; one with a rough-textured powder and one with a fine-textured powder. Also several tools (paraphernalia) were found.

No scars were found on the victim’s body which considerably rules out murder.
The victim died 2 to 3 days before he was found.

A Britisch national died in a rental room in Siem Reap city.

In Wat Damnak village, Sala Komreuk commune, Siem Reap city/province, 150m West of the local commune police office (and) adjacent to a ditch/sewer, an incident happend on July 31 2016 at 8.35AM.
An English national died in a rental room. The local police as well as the Immigration Department immediately went to the place of the incident.
The Technical-Scientific Police belonging to the Siem Reap Provincial Police and Dr.It Chamcharit (​​ អ៊ិ​ត​ ឆ​ម​ឆ​រ័​ត្ន​), who’s a coroner of the Siem Reap Provincial Court, performed an authopsy.
Lieutenant Colonel Pheng Pech of the Technical-Scientific Police said that the victim identified as 67YO female retiree Susan Laycock died around 4AM on the same day. The victim stayed together with her son in the rental room.
Based on the conclusions of the Technical-Scientific Police and the coroner:
The victim died of a stroke/cerebral haemorrhage. The victim’s son told the police that his mother had pre-medical conditions since 20 years already. (such as hypertension and diabetes)
The body has been deposited in the rental room of the victim awaiting a decision from the embassy.

Siem Reap: 57YO Japanese KAI TOSHIKI dies in the hospital.

An elder Japanese national, but born in Cambodia (​ដើម​កំណើត​ខ្មែរ), died in the Provincial Referral Hospital of Siem Reap on July 14 2016 at 2.15AM.

A source said that the victim was identified as KAI TOSHIKI, 58YO, retired, Japanese national but born as a Khmer national ( មាន​ដើម​កំណើត​ជា​ជនជាតិ​ខ្មែរ).
He was living in Sala Kansaeng village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city/province. He entered (the hospital) to receive treatment for a disease on July 13 2016 at 3PM and died on July 14 2016 at 2.15AM.

The police, in collaboration with the doctors of the hospital, confirmed that, after performing an autopsy, the victim died of chronic hypertension and severe respiratory problems. (ដោយសារ​ជន​រង​គ្រោះ​មាន​ជំងឺ​ប្រចាំ​កាយ​ដូច​ជា លើសឈាម​រ៉ាំរ៉ៃ​, រលាក​ផ្លូវដង្ហើម​ធ្ងន់ធ្ងរ ។)

The corps has been deposited at the Provincial Referral Hospital awaiting the Japanese embassy.

Siem Reap: 63YO Australian Susan Clara Spry dies in her room at Casa Angkor Hotel.

Australian woman dies in a room of Casa Angkor Hotel because of a broken blood vessel in her stomach.

On June 11 2016 around 4AM an Australian woman died in a hotel room in Siem Reap.
A tour company and the Australian embassy decided to keep her body at the Royal Angkor International Hospital awaiting a handing over to the family (of the victim).

According to the police who visited the place of the incident:
The Australian woman who died at Casa Angkor Hotel, 3rd floor, room number 328, Mondul1 village, sangkat Svay Dangkun, Siem Reap, was identified as SPRY SUSAN CLARA, 64YO (DOB 24/10/1952), Australian national, tourist, entered the country via Bavet. (Vietnam-Cambodia)

The police said that the victim had a history of physical illness (diabetes and hypertension).

According to the doctors the victim died of a broken blood vessel in her stomach because she had bruises on her body and blood was coming from her nose and mouth.

Siem Reap: 75YO American tourist Owens Robert Dean killed in traffic accident.

An elder American man was hit by a motorbike and died in a pool of blood when he returned from the circus, guiding a friend, left a tuk-tuk and crossed the street to buy beverages to take and drink at the hotel. The accident happend at 9.30PM on May 29 2016 in sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city close to the place where the victim was living.

Mr. Chao Mao Vireak, deputy-chief of Immigration, under the Provincial Police chief, said that after receiving the information the Provincial Immigration Police together with the Provincial Traffic Police went to visit the place of the accident and check the body of the victim.
The victim was identified as Owens Robert Dean, male, 75YO, American national, tourist, holder of the passport XXXXXXXX expiring on March 12 2019, living at Villa Made mrei (must be Villa Médamrei), room 109, located in Vihear Chen village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city. He arrived in Siem Reap on May 24 2016 via Siem Reap International Airport.

After the victim died in the traffic accident the police called the friend of the victim, identified as Roymond Sheridan, male, 70YO, American national, staying/living together with the victim, for questioning. He told the police that around 9.47PM on May 29 2016 he and a friend (the victim) returned from visiting a circus performance. Together they left the tuk-tuk bounding for the hotel. Then the victim crossed the street to go buy beverages to drink. At that moment he saw a motorbike, brand Duke with license plate Phnom Penh 1CF-9229, steered by an unidentified Khmer man, colliding with his friend from behind. The victim fell on the street, his body covered in blood, coming from his nose. He immediately died on the scene of the accident.

Currently the body of the the American victim is being held at Royal Angkor International Hospital awaiting a decision from the US embassy to be handed over to the family.
