Phnom Penh: Norwegian Oerjan (Ørjan) Lea Fredriksen found dead in River 108 Boutique Hotel room,drug overdose suspected.

On December 28 2016 at 2.15PM the police examined the corpse of a Norwegian man at room No.12 on the 2nd floor of River 108 Boutique Hotel which is situated Street 108, Wat Phnom commune, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.

The victim died of a heart attack, possibly caused by a drugs overdose. (the victim tested positive on M-Amp and negative on OPI)

Presently the body has been kept at the morgue of Wat Steung Meanchey pagoda.

Oerjan (Ørjan) Lea Fredriksen, born on May 21 1972 (44YO), Bergen, Norway.

Mr.Fredriksen entered the Kingdom throug PPIA on November 22 2016. He travelled on a TI-visa (tourist).

Phnom Penh: 57-year-old American William Dexter Wooldridge dies in Europe Guest House of drug-induced heart failure.

On December 22 at 11AM a foreigner died in the bathroom of room No.203 in Europe Guesthouse.
Europe Guesthouse is situated No.51, Street 136, Group 20, Village 13, Phsar Kandal 1 commune, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.

According to a Vuth Sokhly, working as a receptionist in the guesthouse:
The victim has been identified as 57-year-old American tourist Wooldridee William Dexter (I guess Wooldridge William Dexter). He stayed at the guesthouse where the incident happened.

The victim checked in on December 19 2016 at 1PM.

He left his room on December 20 2016 at noon and went to the reception to pay for his room. After that he returned to his room.

On December 21 and December 22 nobody noticed the victim to pay for the room.

The receptionist became suspicious, took a look at 11(AM or PM) and found the victim sitting dead, in a decomposing state, in the bathroom.

The owner of the guesthouse and the police of Phsar Kandal 1 were informed.

An examination of the body and a biopsy, performed by a coroner of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court and the Technical-Scientific department of the police, revealed that the victim died of a drug-induced (opiates and meth-amphetamines) heart attack.

Currently the body has been kept at the morgue of the Russian Hospital waiting for the handing over to the American Embassy.

Phnom Penh: 46YO Brit THOMAS Jason Barry found dead; drug-induced heart attack.

The body of a British man was found lying dead in rental house No.3E2, Street 208, Group 7, Village 1, sangkat Boeung Reang, khan Daun Penh on November 9 2016 at 11PM.

The local police identified the victim as THOMAS JASON BARRY, male, born on 21/06/1970, tourist and staying at the place of the incident.

The victim arrived on November 9 2016 at noon at PPIA and waited for a friend, identified as DURKIN KENNETH WILLIAM​, at the KFC restaurant.

The friend arrived at 2PM and took the victim to the rental house where the incident happened. The victim left to buy beers, cigarettes and coffee. After coming home they both drank 1 can of beer.

After that DURKIN KENNETH WILLIAM​ told that he suffered a headache and went to sleep.
The victim continued drinking alone.
Around 11PM left (his room) to take a look and saw the victim sitting on a chair; he shook his friend and realized that he died (already).

After performing a biopsy the police concluded that the victim died of a heart failure because of an overdose of opiates.
The victim’s body has been deposited at the Russian Hospital.

Phnom Penh: 35YO American Jordan Caleb Christensen found dead at 88 Backpackers Hostel; drug induced heart failure

In the evening of November 8 2016 at 6.30PM the police examined the dead body of a 35YO American man, identified as Jordan Caleb Christensen, which was found in bunk(?) bed No.10 of room No.8 on the 1st floor of Eighty8 Backpackers Hostel which is located along Street 88, sangkat Wat Phnom, khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
The police concluded that the victim died of a drug induced heart failure. The victim tested positive on meth-amphetamines and opiates.
The police also found a syringe in the left wrist of the victim.
The victim’s corpse has been deposited at the morgue of the Russian Hospital.

Phnom Penh: 39YO Singaporean Tan Wee Tze Henry died at Dynsey Boutique.

A Singaporean man, who died from a heart attack, caused commotion on October 10 2016 at 9.30PM in room No.302 of Dynsey Boutique which is located No.57Eo, Street 172, Group 19, Village 5, sangkat Chey Chomneah, khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.

According to sources present at the scene:
The victim checked in on September 26 2016 at 4PM. The victim had a habit of going outside (leaving his room) at 2PM and return between 6PM and 10PM, holding a water, orange juice or beer in the hand.
On October 9 2016 (the source) didn’t see the victim come downstairs (leave his room) as usual; idem dito on October 10 2016.
They became suspicious and a staff member, identified as Chun Mab, went upstairs and knocked on the door of the victim’s room but there was no response.
He took the master key and when he planned to open the door he suddenly noticed a bad smell and realized that the victim died.

An inspection of the scene by the police revealed that the door of the victim’s room didn’t show signs of a forced entry.
The victim’s corpse was found on the bed inside the room; face up and across the bed.
His right leg touched the floor and his left leg almost touched the floor. The corpse was decomposing.
In a drawer the police found a blister pack with pills.

The victim was identified as TAN WEE TZEHENRY, male, DOB 12/10/1976, tourist, Singaporean national.

The police found traces of morphines and meth-amphetamines in the victim’s urine.

The authorities concluded that the victim died of a drug-induced heart attack.

The corpse has been deposited at Wat Steung Meanchey pagoda which is located in khan Meanchey.

Siem Reap: 33YO South Korean Luh Chih Chieh found dead in his rental room; overdose suspected.

Bad smell leaves the house; reported to the police.

A Taiwanese man died in a rental room which led to a bad smell. This was reported to the police. They examined the place of the incident, located in Krous village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap city/province, in the afternoon of August 31 2016.
The victim was identified as 33YO Taiwanese man LU CHIH CHIEF (Must be Luh Chih Chieh) living at the scene of the incident.

A resident reported to the police that a man died and a bad small was leaving from a room close to the reporter’s room. The police intervened and noticed a dead foreigner in rental room C34 in Borey Ak Khaet.

According to an examination and according to the first conclusions the victim maybe used too much drugs or maybe fainted because on the incident scene 2 bags with white powder were found; one with a rough-textured powder and one with a fine-textured powder. Also several tools (paraphernalia) were found.

No scars were found on the victim’s body which considerably rules out murder.
The victim died 2 to 3 days before he was found.

Phnom Penh: 36YO French Nicolas Plessis dies of a drug-induced heart failure.

Phnom Penh:
On August 15 2016 at noon time a French man died of a heart attack because of the excessive (overdose) use of morphines and methamphetamines.
The incident happend at rental house No.XXX, 3rd floor, corner of Street 144 and Sisowath Quay, Group 51, Village 5, sangkat Phsar Kandal 1, khan Daun Penh.

Authorities said that the victim was identified as PLESSIS NICOLAS LOUIS ALEXIS, male, DOB 14/02/1980, French national, tourist, staying at the rental house where the incident happend.

I didn’t translate the paragraph in which the reporter describes the physical state of the corpse but there were morphines and methamphetamines found in the victim’s urine.

News sources present at the place of the incident said that on August 12 2016 at 2.30PM the victim and 2 more friends, identified as Saillard Phillipaul (probably Saillard Philippe Paul) and Nguyen Fabien Khoaviel Daniel, rented to house of the incident to stay, each sleeping in his own room. The victim slept on the 3rd floor; his 2 friends on the 4th floor.
On August 14 2016 they went out together to eat something. At 9PM they returned home. Saillard Phillipaul and the victim had a drink together and afterwards went to their rooms to sleep.
After that the victim went outside again making use of a tuk-tuk. It’s not clear at what time he arrived back home.
On August 15 2016 at 8AM Nguyen Fabien Khoaviel Daniel went to the room of the victim and suddenly noticed that he was lying dead on his bed.
He informed the local authorities.
A team of doctors and expert authorities concluded that the victim really died of an overdose (opiates and methamphetamines) causing a heart failure.
The corpse has been deposited at Wat Meanchey pagoda.

Phnom Penh: 37YO Malaysian Aaron Lim Hoong Tat dies of an overdose at Amanjaya Hotel.

Fatal drug overdose at a hotel (heart attack)

Phnom Penh

On May 26 2016 at 3PM a morphine overdose led to the death (heart attack) of a Malaysian man; he was found close to his bed in room 22 at Amanjaya Hotel (អាម៉ាន់ស្សាយ៉ា), Number 1, Street 154, Village 4, sangkat Psar Kandal 1, khan Daun Penh.

The police identified the victim as Aaron Limhoong Tat, male, 37YO, tourist, Malaysian national, temporarily living in the hotel where the incident happend.

According to a clarification to the police of Tooch Chan Srey Sros, female, 37YO, manager at the hotel:
Before the incident on May 26 at 2PM Chariya (ចរិយា), female, 25YO, receptionist at the hotel told that the victim, staying at room 22, had to check-out because he stopped renting the room so the receptionist knocked on the door of his room but there was no response and the victim didn’t open the door.
The receptionist asked the help of a technical staff member to open the door. The found the victim lying dead in the neighborhood of the bed and they report the incident to the police.

A biopsy revealed by a commission of experts revealed that the foreigner died of a heart attack caused by a morphine overdose.
