Phnom Penh: 56YO Australian Mark Wayne Allen found dead in Tonle Sap Guesthouse.

On December 1 2016 at 8.30AM an Australian national died in the bathroom of room 202 on the 2nd floor of Tonle Sab Guesthouse which is located No.4 and 6, Street 104, Group 81, Village 8, sangkat Wat Phnom, khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
It is believed that he fainted and died.

The victim has been identified as 56YO Australian tourist Mark Wayne Allen.

The victim checked in on October 15 2016; on November 30 2016 at 5PM he came sit downstairs as he used to do.
In the morning of December 1 2016 they didn’t see him leave his room; housekeeping also noticed a bad smell so they knocked on the victim’s door but there was no answer.
A key was taken to open the door and they found the victim lying dead in the bathroom.
The police was informed to investigate the case.

The corpse has been deposited at the Russian Hospital; forensic experts, after investigating the incident scene, concluded that the man died of a heart attack.

According to the provincial immigration police:

On November 29 2016 at 7.40AM a foreigner identified as 74YO Swiss Bruderer Peter Michael, living in a rental villa in Veal village, sangkat Kok Chak, Siem Reap city/province, died of a disease/virus.

The victim’s 36YO Khmer wife, identified as Aek Bun Chivi, prepared/organized a funeral ceremony following the traditions.

On November 29 2016 at 9AM a 71YO Flipino man identified as RAMOS JESUS GONZALES died in a house located in Group 59, Street 320, sangkat Boeung Keng Kong 3, khan Chamkar Mon.

According to the police:
The victim suffered diabetes and hypertension since more than 5 years.
His health started deteriorating since the last month.
The victim’s child realized that his/her father died when he/she wanted to give him some water to drink.

The police concluded that the victim died of a disease/illness.

DOB 14/01/1945.

Sihanoukville: 56YO Russian Tatiana Kozharinova found dead in Black Puppy Hotel.

The victim, a long term expat, died of liver cancer.

Her corpse, lying dead on a wooden bed base in a rental room, was found by 50YO Russian ELENA BAYDAKOVA, owner of the guesthouse and friend of the victim.
The incident happened around 11AM on November 29 2016 at Black Puppy Guesthouse which is located in Group 26, Village 3, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville.

According to ELENA BAYDAKOVA:
The victim was living in the rental room since 2013 and suffered cancer (since she was living in Russia).
The victim’s condition worsened over the last month(s) and she couldn’t leave the bed (any longer).
On November 29 at 4.15AM she heard the victim coughing 2 to 3 times and afterwards it became quiet.
At around 11PM she opened the door of the victim’s room to take a look and realized that the victim already died.

The the provincial deputy chief of the health administration told that the victim died of a disease (chronic liver cancer).

The victim’s corpse is being kept at the place of the incident awaiting a decision from the victim’s family and embassy.

Sihanoukville: 52YO Chinese LI HUOQING dies at the Provincial Referral Hospital.

A Chinese man died in an emergency room/box. He was sent to the Provincial Referral Hospital by his colleagues on November 22 around 11PM after he didn’t feel well.
The police identified the victim as 52YO LI HUIQING (must be LI HUOQING), born on 18/08/1964, construction worker at Su Hu International which is located in Group 5, Village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville.
The victim was staying at a rental house belonging to 32YO merchant Wa Sokh Heng, which is located Group 6, Village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville.
According to Dr. Sim Phokdey:
The victim died of an illness/disease (Myocardial infarction/heart attack).
After approval by the family and embassy the police handed over the victim’s corpse to John Allison Monk House to deposit the corpse at the morgue of Phnom Penh’s Russian Hospital.

Phnom Penh: 55YO Chinese Si Lang Po found lying dead in staff accommodation of Ching Thav company.

In the evening of November 21 2016 a Chinese man in his 50s was found lying dead in a room on the 1st floor of Ching Thav company which is an engineering and construction company located in sangkat Kontok, khan Por Sen Chey, Phnom Penh.
The cause of his death is still unknown.
Police experts visited the scene to investigate the cause of death and confirmed that the victim died of a heart attack.

Phnom Penh: 46YO Brit THOMAS Jason Barry found dead; drug-induced heart attack.

The body of a British man was found lying dead in rental house No.3E2, Street 208, Group 7, Village 1, sangkat Boeung Reang, khan Daun Penh on November 9 2016 at 11PM.

The local police identified the victim as THOMAS JASON BARRY, male, born on 21/06/1970, tourist and staying at the place of the incident.

The victim arrived on November 9 2016 at noon at PPIA and waited for a friend, identified as DURKIN KENNETH WILLIAM, at the KFC restaurant.

The friend arrived at 2PM and took the victim to the rental house where the incident happened. The victim left to buy beers, cigarettes and coffee. After coming home they both drank 1 can of beer.

After that DURKIN KENNETH WILLIAM told that he suffered a headache and went to sleep.
The victim continued drinking alone.
Around 11PM left (his room) to take a look and saw the victim sitting on a chair; he shook his friend and realized that he died (already).

After performing a biopsy the police concluded that the victim died of a heart failure because of an overdose of opiates.
The victim’s body has been deposited at the Russian Hospital.

Phnom Penh: 44YO Taiwanese Wei Hung Chuang dies of a heart attack on his way to Calmette Hospital.

On November 9 2016 at 8.30AM the police examined the corpse of a 44YO Taiwanese man, identified as Wei Hung Chuang, working as a managing director at Grand Queen (possibly Grand Twins) and QMI garment factories.
The corpse has been deposited at the morgue of Wat Steung Meanchey pagoda.

The victim died on his way from a Korean Clinic to Calmette Hospital.

Before the incident the victim ate lunch/dinner at a Chinese restaurant, located North of Wat Koh pagoda in sangkat Phsar Thmey 3, khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.

The police concluded that the victim died of a heart attack. (possibly caused by a heart disease)

DOB 31/08/1972, Kaohsiung City.

Phnom Penh: 35YO American Jordan Caleb Christensen found dead at 88 Backpackers Hostel; drug induced heart failure

In the evening of November 8 2016 at 6.30PM the police examined the dead body of a 35YO American man, identified as Jordan Caleb Christensen, which was found in bunk(?) bed No.10 of room No.8 on the 1st floor of Eighty8 Backpackers Hostel which is located along Street 88, sangkat Wat Phnom, khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
The police concluded that the victim died of a drug induced heart failure. The victim tested positive on meth-amphetamines and opiates.
The police also found a syringe in the left wrist of the victim.
The victim’s corpse has been deposited at the morgue of the Russian Hospital.

Sihanoukville: 53YO French Gilles Andre Christian Roger ADELIN found dead in a rental room.

On November 8 2016 around 11AM the emaciated corpse of a French citizen was found, lying face-down on a bed, in a rental room located in Group 24, Village 3, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville. (North of the Provincial Hall and behind the old Holiday Hotel&Casino)
The victim has been identified as Gilles Andre Christian Roger ADELIN, male, 54YO (born on 12/12/1962), French national, retired, holder of a passport valid till 24/01/2022 and holder of a (6-month extension) visa valid till 03/12/2016.
The room (No.101) belongs to a 50YO Khmer medical doctor identified as Phok Sareun living in Group 24, Village 3, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville.
Currently the corpse is still at the place of the incident awaiting a biopsy by police experts and doctors.
