Foreigner dies in Guesthouse and Restaurant ‘Wish You Were Here’.

Sihanoukville
On April 19 2016 at 5PM the police went to examine the corpse of a foreigner at Guesthouse and Restaurant ‘Wish You Were Here’ (Otres1) located in Group 8, Village 6, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville.
The body was identified as Taylor Jake David, male, DOB 03/11/1991, Brit, holder of the passport XXXXXXXXX valid till 03/10/2021 (should be 08/12/2025 according to the picture of the passport), visa TI 10478640 valid till 18/02/2018 (should be 18/02/2016 according to the picture of his visa), tourist, checked-in the guesthouse on 02/02/2016.
According to the examination the victim died of an heart attack. It could be that he already died 4 days ago.
The embassy allowed the police to hand over the corps to the company Arizon (ក្រុមហ៊ុនចនអារីសាន់) in order to bring the body to the Russian Hospital in Phnom Penh.

Sihanoukville: 57YO Danish SKOV DENNIS found dead in rental room.

On April 18 around 9PM the decomposed body of a foreigner was found in a rental room, located in Group 9, Village 1, Sangkat 3, Preah Sihanouk city/province.
The police identified the body as , male, Danish national, 57YO, holder of the passport XXXXXXXXX, valid till 25.03.2023.
The owner of the room was identified as Mr. Nong Seynal (ណង់សីណាល់), male, 38YO, working as an official at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.
The police concluded that the victim died of a heart attack. (ជម្ងឺគាំងបេះដូង)
The victim already dead several days (before he was found).
The corps was kept at the scene awaiting the overhanding to the embassy and family.

Foreigner dead in a rental room of Otres City restaurant (and guesthouse).

Sihanoukville
A foreigner died in his room belonging to Otres City which is located in Village 6, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville city/province.
The incident happend at 9PM on April 17 2016.
The victim was identified as Planck David Bruce, male, 72YO, US national, tourist, holder of the passport XXXXXXXXXX valid till 02.12.2020.
According to the police:
An examination of the corps showed that the victim died of an illness related to his old age (ជំងឺជរាពាធ).
The body is kept at the Provincial Referral Hospital awaiting a decision from the embassy.

Siem Reap: Japanese SUZUKI TADAHISA dies in Royal Angkor International Hospital.

A Japanese tourist arrived in Siem Reap province on April 7 2016 by a Japanese tour company.
On April 9 2016 the victim went to visit Pre Rup temple. During that visit he felt un-well. He was transported by a vehicle of (the company) Mekong to the Royal International Hospital. After arrival he passed away.
The doctors and Scientific Technical Police concluded that the victim died of fainting (ដោយសារ ខ្យល់គរ).
According to the Provincial Technical Scientific Police:
The victim was identified as SUZUKI TADAHISA, male, 67YO, holder of the passport TR XXXXXXXX.
The corpse is kept at the Royal International Hospital awaiting the overhanding to the embassy or family.

Phnom Penh: US KEITH JAMES ROBERT dies in Sun and Moon Hotel.

On April 7 2016 at 4PM in Sun And Moon Hotel (សាន់អ៊ែនមូន), number 68Eo, Street 136, Group 11, village 10, sangkat Psar Kandal 1, khan Daun Penh, at room number 412 on the fourth floor a foreigner died.
The victim was identified as KEITH JAMES ROBERT, male, 36YO, US national, tourist, holder of the passport XXXXXXXXX.
Cause of death: Heart attack.

The body was transferred to Stung Meanchey pagoda.

DOB: 14/10/1980, Massachusetts.

Sihanoukville: German Horst Parpart found dead in rental room.

The corps of foreigner was found face-down in his badroom. The cause is still unknown.
The incident happend on April 5 around 3PM in a rental room located in Group 1, Village 3, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville city/province.
The police identified the victim as PARPART HORST, male, 68YO (should be 64), German national, holder of the passport XXXXXXXXX valid till 09.10.2021.
He was living in the rental room since 9 days.
Currently the body is stil at the place of the incident awaiting further investigations.

DOB: 13/06/1952, Neustadt in Holstein.

Sihanoukville: Russian Andrei Alekseev dies of a heart attack.

A foreign man with clogged heart arteries dies of a heart attack.

Preah Sihanouk province
At 4.30PM on April 3 2016 a foreign man died because of clogged heart arteries in Group 2, village 4, sangkat 4, Sihanoukville city/province.

According to the police:
The victim was identified as ALEK SEEV ANDREI, male, 57YO, Russian, holder of the passport XXXXXXXXXXX issued on September 4 2012 and expired on September 4 2022, visa El.00676846 issued on January 6 2016 and expired on January 8 2017.

Dr.Som Dara (សំ ដារ៉ា), who conducted an autopsy in collaboration with the police concluded that the victim died because of clogged heart vessels.

The body of the victim was hold at the Provincial Referral Hospital awaiting a decision of the Russian Embassy in Cambodia.

Kampot: American ROBERTS JOE KENT found dead in Khemra Guesthouse.

On April 1 2016 an American national was found dead in Khemra Guesthouse located in Kampong Bay South village (កំពង់បាយខាងត្បូង), sangkat Kampong Bay (កំពង់បាយ), Kampot city after the staff of the guesthouse noticed a bad smell coming from his room.
After executing a forensic examination the officials confirmed that the victim died because of exhaustion/fainting/a disease (ជំងឺខ្យល់គរ). The victim died already 2 to 3 days before he was found.
The body was identified as ROBERTS JOE KENT, male, 74YO, American national.
On April 1 2016 the staff of the guesthouse went to clean the room of the victim and noticed a bad smell. They were suspicious and opened the door to have a look. Suddenly they saw the victim lying dead; face down, naked, (body) fluids and blood leaving the corps.
After a forensic examination the corps of the victim was transported by ambulance to the morgue of Russian Hospital in Phnom Penh.

Sihanoukville: Finnish Jenny Jokela dies after traffic accident with motorbike.

Finnish woman drives a motorbike at high speed and collides with a traffic sign resulting in severe injuries. She died at the hospital.

A Finnish woman died at the Provincial Referral Hospital while she received emergency treatment after a traffic accident caused by herself. She was driving a motorbike a very high speed, plowed into a big traffic sign in the middle of the street, crashed and slid around 50 meters.
The accident happend around 11PM on March 28 2016 at Independence road at the Municipal High School located in village 3, sangkat 3, Sihanoukville city/province.
According to the police:
The victim was driving a black Hayate motorbike, license plate Phnom Penh 1Y-4181.
The victim was identified as Jenny Jokela (ចេន នី យូ កា ឡា), female, 23YO, Finnish national, working as an employee at the Papagayo Guesthouse (ប៉ាប៉ាកាយ៉ូ) located in village 4, sangkat 4, Sihanoukville city/province.
The victim was driving from Meteorology in the direction of Psar Leu. At the place of the incident she crashed into a big traffic sign in the middle of the road which resulted in severe injuries. She died at the hospital.
Currently the body of the victim is kept at the morgue of the Sihanoukville Provincial Referral Hospital awaiting to the overhanded to the family and embassy and returned to her home country.
One motorbike was taken to the office of the Provincial Traffic Police.
