On April 1 2016 an American national was found dead in Khemra Guesthouse located in Kampong Bay South village (កំពង់បាយ​ខាងត្បូង), sangkat Kampong Bay (​កំពង់បាយ), Kampot city after the staff of the guesthouse noticed a bad smell coming from his room.
After executing a forensic examination the officials confirmed that the victim died because of exhaustion/fainting/a disease (ជំងឺ​ខ្យល់គរ). The victim died already 2 to 3 days before he was found.
The body was identified as ROBERTS JOE KENT, male, 74YO, American national.
On April 1 2016 the staff of the guesthouse went to clean the room of the victim and noticed a bad smell. They were suspicious and opened the door to have a look. Suddenly they saw the victim lying dead; face down, naked, (body) fluids and blood leaving the corps.
After a forensic examination the corps of the victim was transported by ambulance to the morgue of Russian Hospital in Phnom Penh.
