German teacher from National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia found dead after 3 days; it was only discovered after a bad smell was noticed.

A man who’s a German teacher was found dead by an employee and students in his room after a big smell (was noticed). After that they forced the door of his room and found him dead with his face down on the floor.

According to the police:
The German man died already 3 days before he was found at 11AM on February 8 2016 in the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia, also called Korean School, located at Street Tomnob Kob Srov (ទំនប់កប់ស្រូវ), Phum Srae Cheah (ស្រែជះ), Sangkat Somroong Krom (សំរោងក្រោម), Khan Por Sen Chey (ឌពោធិ៍សែនជ័យ).

According to the police he was identified as Norbert Frede, German national, male, 62 years old, working as a teacher and living in the school.

According to the staff:
They saw the victim the last time at 9AM on February 5 2016 walking inside the school in a very unstable state looking unwell or drunken. He entered his room. Since that they nobody worried about him. They didn’t see the victim come to eat together with the other staff.
At the moment of the incident suddenly the smelled something bad coming from the room of the victim. This was suspicious so they told the teachers and the director of the school to open the door to look inside. Suddenly they saw the victim dead with his face down. He was swelled up. They informed the police to intervene.

After an examination and biopsy by the Office of Technical Sciences Phnom Penh the embassy was informed and to corpse was sent to Wat Stung Meanchey.
