Phnom Penh: 36YO French Nicolas Plessis dies of a drug-induced heart failure.

On August 15 2016 at noon time a French man died of a heart attack because of the excessive (overdose) use of morphines and methamphetamines.
The incident happend at rental house No.XXX, 3rd floor, corner of Street 144 and Sisowath Quay, Group 51, Village 5, sangkat Phsar Kandal 1, khan Daun Penh.

Authorities said that the victim was identified as PLESSIS NICOLAS LOUIS ALEXIS, male, DOB 14/02/1980, French national, tourist, staying at the rental house where the incident happend.

I didn’t translate the paragraph in which the reporter describes the physical state of the corpse but there were morphines and methamphetamines found in the victim’s urine.

News sources present at the place of the incident said that on August 12 2016 at 2.30PM the victim and 2 more friends, identified as Saillard Phillipaul (probably Saillard Philippe Paul) and Nguyen Fabien Khoaviel Daniel, rented to house of the incident to stay, each sleeping in his own room. The victim slept on the 3rd floor; his 2 friends on the 4th floor.
On August 14 2016 they went out together to eat something. At 9PM they returned home. Saillard Phillipaul and the victim had a drink together and afterwards went to their rooms to sleep.
After that the victim went outside again making use of a tuk-tuk. It’s not clear at what time he arrived back home.
On August 15 2016 at 8AM Nguyen Fabien Khoaviel Daniel went to the room of the victim and suddenly noticed that he was lying dead on his bed.
He informed the local authorities.
A team of doctors and expert authorities concluded that the victim really died of an overdose (opiates and methamphetamines) causing a heart failure.
The corpse has been deposited at Wat Meanchey pagoda.
