On February 1 2016 the Minor Crime Unit of the Provincial Police of Siem Reap arrested a suspect and sent him to the court in a case of a motorbike theft. On February 3 2016 the suspect was showed to the public by the Minor Crime Unit of the Police.

According to the police:
The suspect is 29 years old and comes from Battambang but is currently living in Sangkat Slok Raam, Siem Reap city.
He is accused of stealing (under aggravating circumstances) and faking public documents (use license plates).

After his arrest the police did a search in the place where he was living and seized 3 motorbikes, 2 license plates and some other tools.

In front of the police the suspect confessed that he used to break open the lock of a motorbike or drop some money (on the floor) so that people will pick it up which gave an opportunity to a fellow to steal the motorbike of the victim. He also pretended to be interested in buying land to give him an opportunity to steal the motorbike of his victims and escape.

He was sent to the court in the afternoon of February 3 2016.

Opennet employee, belonging to a group of 4 motorbike thieves, arrested.

The suspect was arrested in Phum Mondul1, Sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap while he was stealing along the Siem Reap river.
The suspect was renting a house in Phum Treang, Slokraam, Siem Reap.

He was involved in stealing motorbikes and forgery of documents such as license plates and vehicle registration cards.
