Arrested by the police after forging a single-status certificate/non-marriage certificate for his own wedding.

A case of counterfeiting stamps and forging certificates followed by an arrest happend on June 27 2016 at 2.30PM in sangkat Prek Russey, Takhmao city, Kandal province.

The suspect is a 36YO Khmer man staying/living at Flamingo​ Hotel located in sangkat Phsar Thmey 3, khan Daun Penh but born in Samlot village/commune/district, Battambang province. He's working as an electrician at the hotel.

During his arrest the police confiscated a forged certificate, a counterfeit name stamp, a counterfeit round stamp representing sangkat Prek Russey, a counterfeit sangkat stamp, a maroon-colored motorbike Honda Today without license plates and wrapped with a purple sticker.

According to the police:
On June 25 2016 a 26YO Khmer woman living in sangkat Russey Keo, Russey Keo but born in Kampong Chnang Province went to the Prek Russey police with the forged document (as in the picture) to verify its correctness. According to the document, her boyfriend was a single man.

The police discovered that the document was forged. The police contacted the woman to bring her boyfriend to the office for questioning.

He confessed. He forged the document because he really wanted to marry with his girlfriend but wasn't divorced yet from his wife.

The suspect was handed over to the police of Takhmao.
