The incident started after 3 to 4 Chinese men went to a club and stepped on the foot/feet of a Khmer woman while she was dancing with a Khmer man.
The woman became angry and hit the Chinese men (or at least one of them) in the eye which led to a discussion.
The Chinese men, who were in a minority, fled and called their friends; around 40 persons in total.
4 Khmer persons suffered injuries. The police intervened and arrested 36 Chinese men.
