Immigration police continues the detention of 11 foreigners who were illegally living in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville.
Uk Heisela, chief of investigations at the Interior Ministry’s immigration department, said that on February 19 2016 in total 11 foreigners were arrested one after another on charges of illegally living in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville. Among them:
- 4 Pakistani
- 5 Vietnamese
- 1 Chinese
- 1 Armenian
"Today we arrested in total 11 foreigners: 2 women and 4 nationalities. 8 persons were caught by the unit at Phnom Penh International Airport.
- 4 male Pakistanis
- 1 Chinese (charged with fraud in China)
Caught by the unit in Sihanoukville:
- 1 Armenian
Caught in Sangkat Chbar Ampov 2, Khan Chbar Ampov
- 5 Vietnamse for living without a passport.
The foreigners are under interrogation at the department to prepare their expulsion from the country.
