Sihanoukville: British tourist STEFAN ANDREA JONATHAN MAFFEI commits suicide by hanging.

Police said that a British man was found dead by hanging. The victim attached a bed sheet to a curtain rail.
The incident happened/the victim was found on January 11 2017 at noon time in the room of a rental house belonging to 38-year-old Baan Yut and which is situated in Group 9, Village 3, Sangkat 2, Sihanoukville.
The victim has been identified as British tourist STEFAN ANDREA JONATHAN MAFFEI, born on May 30 1969.

Authorities concluded that the victim died of hanging.

Presently the victim's body has been kept at the Provincial Referral Hospital to wait for a decision from the family and British Embassy.

According to 36-year-old Australian RICHARD JOHN VANZINO:
The victim started renting the room on September 23 2016.
On January 10 at 5PM the victim sent him the message "Goodbye, I will be dead in 3 minutes", but the recipient didn't believe the sender's message.

He tried to call the victim in the morning of January 11 2017 but he he didn't pick up the phone so he became suspicious and asked the landlord to open the door of the victim's room in order to take a look. The victim was found dead, hanging with a bedsheet from a curtain rail.
