According to the police:
A British man drank so much until he got a fatal heart attack while he was sent to the provincial referral hospital.
The incident happend on April 19 2016 at 8.30PM at the Siem Reap Provincial Referral Hospital.
According to the Immigration police in the morning of April 20 2016:
There was a case of a British man who died after he was sent to the Siem Reap Provincial Referral Hospital. The victim was identified as EVAN JOHN DAVINE (should be Evans John David), male, expat, living in a rental house in Sala Kansaeng village, sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap.
Police officials confirmed that a biopsy executed by the police and a doctor indicated/revealed that the death was caused by excessive drinking causing a fatal heart attack. (ផឹក ស្រាហួសកំរិតទៀត បណ្តាលឲ្យគាំង បេះដូង)
The corps is kept at the Siem Reap Provincial Referral Hospital awaiting the overhanding the to embassy to leave for his home country.

According to CEN he was retired and came to live in Siem Reap recently.
He was found dead in his rental room.
