4 Military Police officers involved in a drug extortion case.
Sources from the Provincial Military Police told that so far already 4 officers were exposed for their involvement in a drug case in the night of January 8 2016. They asked in total 10.000USD in exchange for a quick release.

An anonymous Military Police officer the suspects are:
1. Lieutenant Colonel Tha Daloutch (ថា ដា​លុ​ច), the chairman of the Department of Justice Research
2. Major Long Chan Riti (ឡុ​ង ចាន់​រិ​ទ្ធិ), known as Mab (​ម៉ា​ប់), Deputy Chief of Staff
3. Captain Thiav Chan Dara (ធៀ​វ ចាន់​តារា), Chief of the Anti-Drug Department
4. Lieutenant Li Huot (លី ហួត), Military Police Officer in Siem Reap
The money was meant for only the first 2 suspects.

The 4 suspects were also being watched by the Anti-Corruption Unit.

The investigations started after the suspects on January 7 2016 from 5PM till 7PM quickly opened an operation against a target, who was identified as Lai Romani(​ឡៃ រមណី), 33 years old and a known drug dealer along the river in Siem Reap and protected by Lieutenant Li Hout (លី ហួត). Lai Romani paid 800USD for his release to Lieutenant Li Hout (លី ហួត).
