Kandal: 7-year-old girl raped, murdered, body dumped in small river.

The corpse was discovered on the morning of August 2 2017 at 5AM behind a center for disabled veterans (called 317) in Slab Ta Aon village, Kokir commune, Kien Svay district, Kandal province.
The victim has been identified as គ.ស.aka ធ., a 7-year-old girl living in Tuol Dong village, Kokir commune, Kien Svay district, Kandal province.
According to the Crime Dept. of the District Police:
On August 1 2017 went to collect lotus stems/roots together with her father. In the afternoon they returned home but the daughter returned first (before her father).
Once arrived at home the father didn't noticed his daughter. He searched for her on his own until 7 PM when he decided to file a police complaint/inform the police.
The police organized a search during the night but didn't manage to find the young victim.
On the morning of August 2 2017 at 5AM a group of fishermen found the victim's corpse floating near the border of the small river/creek/canal and informed the family and police.
Police experts concluded that the victim was raped, murdered and dumped by an unknown person in order to silence her.
