On the morning of July 4 2017, after being charged by the prosecutor's office, an investigating judge of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court ordered the detention of Sun Sang Suk, a 57-year-old Korean Managing Director (MD) working for the Fortuna (ហ្វ័រជូណាគារ) hotel and casino company which is located in Preah Sihanouk province, on charges of death threats and breach of confidence.
In the past the company had 3 shareholders . Sun Sang Suk became a shareholder in 2016.
At the beginning of 2017, during 2 to 3 months, Sun Sang Suk didn't distribute the profits to the other shareholders and threatened to kill them if they didn't transfer their shares to him.
Another Korean national filed a lawsuit and Sun Sang Suk was summoned for questioning on July 3 2017.
