The incident happened on June 9 2017 around 5.40PM in Group 3, Khnar village, Chreav commune, Siem Reap city/province.
Police identified the victim as K.D.H., a 57-year-old South-Korean man.
Police identified the girlfriend as ស.ដ., a vendor at Phsar Khnar market.
According to the victim's girlfriend she knew the victim for 5 years.
After meeting his girlfriend the victim opened a shop in Vietnam but in May (2017) he returned to Siem Reap, called her and they also met a few times.
On June 9 the victim was sleeping in his girlfriend's room while she was busy with someone outside who was constructing a wall/fence.
At 5.30PM the constructors returned home and at 5.40PM she entered the house and the bedroom to find her boyfriend motionless.
She asked neighbors for help and called the village chief in order to inform the police.
Authorities could only confirm the victim's death; they concluded that the victim died of 'syncope'.
