Phnom Penh: 4 Taiwanese men appear in Court on drug and weapon charges.

On the morning of June 12 2017 4 Taiwanese men were sent from Prey Sar and PJ detention center to the Municipal Court to be sentenced in a case of drug trafficking and illegal weapon possession.

1. Lin Tonghun, 43, previously already imprisoned in Taiwan, living in Street 450, Tuol Tumpuong commune, Chamkar Mon district, Phnom Penh. Charged with drug trafficking under Art.40 of the Law on Drugs and unlawful possession of weapons under Article 490 of the Penal Code.
2. Lor Che Song, 67, living at Naga World Hotel. Charged with drug trafficking under Art.40 of the Law on Drugs.
3. Chav Muche Nhg, 50, living at Bali Hotel and Naga World Hotel. Charged with drug trafficking under Art.40 of the Law on Drugs.
4. Kor Chang Heng. Charged with drug trafficking under Art.40 of the Law on Drugs.

At the time of their arrest police confiscated 93.5gr of Crystal Meth, 6gr of Heroin, a K59 handgun and cartridge with bullets, a weighing scale, plastic packing bags and 4 handheld phones.

During today's hearing Lin Tonghun clarified that he bought the drugs, which the police found at his home, to store and use from "Lee" for 2,000USD. He also clarified that he bought the handgun for his own protection.
The 3 other suspects, arrested at his home, were there to use drugs but he clarified that he didn't sell (any) drugs to them.

The hearings will continue on June 26 2017.
