The discovery happened on June 10 2017 at 8AM in a rental villa in Sala Komreuk village/commune, Siem Reap city/province.
Police identified the victim as David Hughan Johnstone, a 79-year-old Australian retiree, living in the Kingdom on an EI-visa expiring on February 12 2018.
A post-mortem examination rules out that the victim died of chronic stomach ulsters; foul play has been excluded.
The body was sent to Phnom Penh on board of an ambulance of the Siem Reap Provincial Hospital to be stored in the morgue of Calmette Hospital to wait for a decision from the Australian embassy.
David Hughan Johnstone was born on February 9 1938 in Moree, Australia.
