Sentenced to 8 months each under Art. 377 and 378 of the Criminal Law for encouraging their victim to play 'blackjack' and defrauding her of 480USD.
The offenses took place in a rental house in Boeung Doon Pa village, Slok Raam commune, Siem Reap province.
The 3 were arrested by the Immigration police in the afternoon of August 1 2016.
The 3 have been identified as:
1. Mamerto Jr.Jalabas Delema, a 40-year-old man.
2. Antoinette Trongcoso Delema, a 53-year-old woman.
3. Crisanta Vichitchat, a 51-year old woman.
The victim has been identified as WARREN JAQUIN ADITA aka Jacki, a female American tourist.
The 3 convicted persons confessed during a hearing in the afternoon of May 22 2017.

Did they charge the American as well? After all she was likely to be involved in the scam. Was Antoinette to be the victim?

Filipino card hustlers, Hmmm, One of the top 10 scams in Asia!
Befriend the tourist, an example would be to ask where they are from then state that their sister is moving there & could they meet etc, after some gracious hospitality they will then take the tourist aside & show them the art of knowing each card dealt from a deck of playing cards, they will then tell the tourist that they are a private dealer for some wealthy gamblers.
The dealer will then propose to the tourist that they should deceive/cheat one of the private dealers clients & split the winnings & that is how they have made their money quite comfortable in the past.
Praying on the morally challenged tourist this opportunity to make some quick $$$ can be very enticing, after all how can they lose!
It will all happen very quickly & within no time at all the wealthy gambler client will be seated before the tourist supposedly unaware of the scheme that the tourist & the dealer have orchestrated, bets will be raised & the tourist will lose.
The sting works well because the tourist was originally part of the scam to cheat the other & are usually very reluctant to report the matter to the authorities.
Giving the benefit of doubt to (Jacki the tourist) she just must of thought that she had an unbeatable hand & noticed a card trick that she managed to be able to prove to the police
