On January 8 2017 at 4.15PM residents noticed the body of a dead man floating in the river in front of the Royal Palace which is situated in Chey Chomneah commune, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.
Presently the body has been kept at Wat Sambuor Meas pagoda in Dangkao district to perform a biopsy.
The corpse doesn't belong to a Khmer citizen but belongs to a black man. (គឺជាជនជាតិស្បែកខ្មៅ)
The victim's age has been estimated as being in his 20s, with curly hair, wearing a striped white t-shirt and black knee length shorts.
Authorities didn't intervene after residents noticed the corpse until it washed ashore several hours later.
