Phnom Penh: Woman accused of stealing 80.000USD from 48YO Finnish businessman KAJ NAPARSTOK.

(After) a woman was arrested by the police for her involvement in a drugs case it turned out that she (also) stole 80K USD from a foreigner.
The suspect was detained by Prey Sar prison guards and handed over to the commune police of Prey Veng for questioning about her involvement in storing (possibly hiding) illegal drugs but it turned out that she (also) stole 88.929USD from a foreigner.
The arrest happened on December 8 2016 at 3.15PM at the rehabilitation center ម2 which is located in Komrieng village, sangkat Prey Veng, khan Dankao, Phnom Penh.
According to the crime department of the Dangkao district police:
The suspect has been identified as Chea Sovannara aka Lyly, 25YO, employee at Naga (casino), living in Suasedey Guesthouse which is located in Srah Chak commune, Daun Penh district.
The police confiscated a small bag with meth-amphetamines, a black shoulder bag, 34K USD, a unlicensed Honda Scoopy motorbike which was stored at a motor storing place close to Naga World Casino in Tonle Bassac commune, Chamkar Mon district.
The victim, and owner of the money, has been identified as KAJ NAPARSTOK, a 48YO Finnish businessman.
Before the arrest of the suspect by the police prison guards of Prey Sar prison told (the police) that the suspect visited her husband, identified as Wan Thy who has been imprisoned on charges of stealing a motorbike.
The suspect stored/left a black shoulder bag at the parking place for bicycles and motorbikes before visiting her husband. After the visit she took her bag back to go home but prison guards asked for the ticket of her motorbike. When she opened her bag (to look for the ticket) a small bag with meth-amphetamines fell on the floor. She was detained by the prison guards and handed over to the police of Prey Veng commune to be sent to the district police of Dangkao for questioning.
During questioning the suspect it turned out that she stole money from a Finnish man on December 7 2016 at 7AM at Comfort Star 2 Hotel which is located in Phsar Thmey 3 commune, Daun Penh district, phnom Penh after the victim braught the suspect to his hotel to spend the night together.
At 7AM, when the victim was sleeping, the victim stole 88.929USD from the suspect and fled.
After the incident the victim searched for the suspect but he didn't find her until December 9 2016 at 10.30AM when he received the news that she had been arrested by the Dangkao district police in a case of using illegal drugs. The victim identified the suspect and lodged a complaint.
After questioning the suspect the district police brought her to a house belonging to Ly Nai, a 54YO female second-hand clothes vendor living in Street 298, Group 7, Village 1, Toul Svay Prey 1 commune, Chamkar Mon district, Phnom Penh who is reportedly the stepmother (ម្តាយមីង) of the suspect.
After conducting a search the police confiscated 34K USD. After that they also confiscated a Honda Scoopy motorbike stored at a place close the Naga World Casino.
The Dangkao district police hauled in Ly Nai for questioning too.
The suspect has been temporarily jailed (ឃុំខ្លួន).
The 34K USD were returned to the victim.
