Phnom Penh: Motodop injured after being stabbed in abdomen by 3 Icelanders.

A motodop driver suffered abdominal injuries because 3 Icelanders collided with him and pulled a knife.
The incident happened on November 5 2016 at 4AM along Monivong Blvd. in front of the railway station in sangkat Srah Chak, khan Daun Penh.

The victim is a 54YO man working as a motodop and living in a rental house in sangkat Tuol Sangkae, khan Russey Keo.
He was driving a black Honda Dream 2016 series. (Phnom Penh 1FZ-7284)
The 3 assaulters were driving 2 motorbikes imported from Vietnam; all 3 are from Iceland.

According to the victim:
Before the incident he was driving along Monivong Blvd. on his own from the North to the South. At the place of the incident one of the foreigners collided with him from behind. Both riders fell. Suddenly there were 2 more foreigners. They approached him and stabbed him in the abdomen with a knife.
He tried to escape and called "thief" alarming other motodops and tuk-tuk drivers who finally intervened. The 3 assaulters panicked and fled to the Srah Chak police office asking for help.

Initially the police didn't see/find the knife; it fell at the Canadia building during the chase/scuffle.

According to the 3 foreigners:
They crossed Vietnam on a motorbike and entered Cambodia to visit the country. The admitted that they collided with the victim's motorbike during the night of the incident but denied that they stabbed the victim and were carrying a knife. According to their version the victim injured himself during the scuffle/chase.

The victim left on his motorbike to seek treatment; the 3 foreigners were questioned by the police. All motorbikes were impounded.

We (the reporter) don't know if it's a traffic-related case or a robbery attempt since the alleged victim accused the 3 foreigners of trying to rob him because he was driving a good (modern/expensive) motorbike.
