Child of the owner of Shang Hai guesthouse collides with a foreigner while driving a car.

A Scottish national, just in his 20s, was hit and catapulted several meters (​បុក​ប៉ើង​ជា​ច្រើន​ម៉ែត្រ) by a car. The (driver of the) car, who caused the accident by driving too much on the left side, escaped the scene of the accident leaving the victim unconscious in the middle of the road. In front of Shang Hai guesthouse, which is the family business, the driver completely covered the car and kept quiet pretending to know nothing.

According to several witnesses, in particular motodop drivers, the accident happend on July 15 2016 at 11.10AM in the street of Sovannaphumi (សុវណ្ណ​ភូមិ) school located in Prek Moha Tep village, sangkat Svay Pao, Battambang city/province.

First said witnesses noticed a sugar-colored Toyota Prius (Phnom Penh 2AF-9630) steered by a woman, driving at a very high speed in the direction of the South (coming from the North). At the place of the incident, still at high speed, she turned to the West taking the street of Sovannaphumi (សុវណ្ណ​ភូមិ) school but she turned too much left and collided with the victim who was driving his bicycle in the opposite direction. (coming from the West).

According to the same witnesses the victim was catapulted around 3m. The driver after the car increased her speed and escaped, leaving the victim behind, unconscious and in a pool of blood. In front of the guesthouse she took a plastic and covered the whole car pretending to know nothing. Foreign relatives sent the victim to a hospital (អ៊ី​មេ​ចិន​ស៊ី; Handa Medical Center) for treatment.

The police noticed that the license plate of the car under the cover and the license plate, as noticed by the witnesses, corresponded. Also the windshield of the car was completely broken and showing imprints of the victim's head.

The seriously injured victim was identified as 26YO Scottish Chris Chris. He broke his left clavicle and suffers a fractured skull. Currently the doctors are giving him treatment.

When the police impounded the car and ordered its driver to the office, the family of the driver, particularly the driver's father father, loudly protested in front of the Traffic Police saying that the vehicle didn't escape and that she drove it in front of the guesthouse and just covered it with a plastic. The car was traveling fast and the impact knocked him unconscious.
Reads as if he's in the emergency room and doctors are working to save his life (4th and 6th paragraph).

Has the Kampuchea Thmey article been taken down?

I just clicked on the link in the OP and it redirects to the Kampuchea Thmey homepage rather than the article.
The homepage still (19:55) has a photo of the guesthouse and the title

but the link to the article loops back to the homepage.

Seems a bit odd.

Just wanted to check my claim he was in the ER room.
I'm reading អ៊ី​មេ​ចិន​ស៊ី as 'emergency' and I think it said the doctors and សង្គ្រោះ (1 verb - to help, save, rescue; to resuscitate)... But I can't check.

Regarding the victim's condition, I just double-checked the article and the title says ​"ស្ទើរដង្ហើមចង្រិត"​ which can be free translated as "gasping for breath".

Article hasn't appeared in the Saturday Kampuchea Thmey printed newspaper.
