According to Koh Santepheap

Did you already hear that Thong Sarath, Sok Bun and Chouk Bandith receive medical treatment in the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital?

Phnom Penh
According to a prison guard working for the Ministry of Interior Thong Sarath, Sok Bun and Chouk Bandith are receiving medical treatment and are sleeping each in a separate room in the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, also called Russian Hospital.

Another source from Kandal province also revealed that former head of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court Eang Mealteywas treated outside (the prison).

Money buys justice and a way to freedom.

Regarding this info, Koh Santepheap was not able to get some feedback from officials from Prey Sar prison and Kandal prison in the morning of January 12 2016.

Former Phnom Penh Municipal Court President Aing Maltey, currently in a Kandal province prison on corruption charges, is being allowed to receive treatment at a private clinic in Phnom Penh.

“He has been seriously sick,” Kandal Provincial Court clerk Meach Sokha told Khmer Times yesterday. “And the provincial court’s investigative judge has allowed him to go out from prison in order to get treatment every evening for a period of two weeks.”

“He has had liver disease, high blood pressure, a heart attack and hemorrhoids,” he said.

Prisoner perk claims denied

In the wake of recent allegations in local media that tycoons detained at Prey Sar prison are being sent to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital as a holiday from prison life, the Ministry of Interior’s General Department of Prisons has sought approval to transfer sick prisoners to a police hospital (16 Ouksaphea Hospital) in the capital instead, an official said yesterday.
